WHO ARE WE?

NiO Agro is a youth led farm that is into Animal husbandry and olericulture. In 2021 we were duly registered with the Federal government of Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

As ways of increasing youth interest in Agriculture, we have been training for FREE young school leavers on various aspects of sustainable Agriculture. We have so far trained 1800 both online and onsite.

Vision statement: To be a consistent market player in the livestock and horticultural industries in Nigeria.

Mission statement: To continually churn out hygienic products at good prices through the use of cheaper non-conventional inputs replicated by numerous farmers across Nigeria.

Core Values: Quality products, competitive prices, consistent production, integrity in business, prompt delivery.

We are youth led and have the interest of youths at heart. Our solution supports there of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations which are:

FORMULATING FEED FOR YOUR ANIMALS

It has been said over time that feeding alone accounts for close to or a little over 60% of animal production, whether ruminants or non-ruminants The act of making the animals have access to the feed is called FEEDING. Today, there are many ready made feeds available, some companies are at the top of this ladder, companies like Top Feeds and the rest. Some private feedmills do produce their own feed for commercial Purposes, and reports show that their feeds are quite okay. Today, we will be discussing how to formulate feed for poultry and pigs. To adequately formulate feed for your animals, the following should be put into consideration. - Age of the animal - Nutritional needs of the animal. - Availability of the raw materials - Cost and quality of the raw material. WASTE TO WEALTH IN AGRICULTURE

In animal husbandry, it has been agreed with proof that feeding alone takes over 60% of the total production costs. With continual rise in prices of conventional feed ingredients it has become imperative to device other cheaper but effective means to make feeds for livestock. One of these is the inclusion of industrial wastes in animal feed production. Although a number of factors affect the use of some of these materials, but with appropriate steps, they can be used with little or no side effects.
